Psychotherapy for individuals and couples in Ontario
Navigate change. Feel grounded. Find yourself again.
Welcome. I’m Wendy.
I work with individuals navigating the transitions that reshape a life, and with parents raising children, especially inside of neurodivergent families. Therapy with me is collaborative and paced to you. The aim is steadier ground, stronger relationships, and room to make the changes that matter to you.
Therapy for Times of Change
Transitions reorganize a life. A relationship begins or ends. A child is born. Someone dies. A marriage comes apart. A diagnosis is received.
When one thing ends, something else begins, and the in-between can leave you without solid ground. Therapy can help.
There is no-cost for the Initial consultation call
I work with individuals moving through love, parenthood, loss, divorce, grief, and the in-between periods that follow. Therapy gives you a steady place to make sense of what is changing, settle through the hard stretches, and decide what comes next. People often arrive during:
Becoming a mother, or becoming a mother again
A relationship beginning, deepening, or ending
Separation and divorce
Grief and loss of every kind
Coming to terms with neurodivergence in midlife, including a late autism or ADHD identification
Changes in work, identity, and family roles
My approach is attachment-based, trauma-informed, and draws on interpersonal neuropsychology. Our work together is collaborative and paced to you.
Parenting Support
Parenting changes you as much as it changes your child. I support parents through individual sessions and group workshops, especially within neurodivergent families.
I bring my experience as an educator, a psychotherapist, and a parent of an AUDHD young adult. My practice is rooted in co-regulation, strength-based growth, and identity affirmation, and I integrate neuropsychology, trauma-informed practice, and compassion-focused strategies.

About Wendy
I believe that if we want to be at our best for others, we must make room to be compassionate toward ourselves. I have brought this belief to my decades-long career as an educator and to my work as a therapist. I support my clients to use the lens of their own lived experience to explore some of the same content I taught: the impacts of stress and trauma on daily living. This collaborative therapeutic process creates a powerful opportunity to build resilience, awareness, and self-compassion.

My teaching led to a natural evolution toward one-on-one work, and I bring these same perspectives to my work as a therapist. If you are struggling to navigate emotional challenges and are interested in exploring ways to bring some ease and connectedness back to your daily life and important relationships, please connect.

For more than two decades I dedicated myself to providing safer spaces for learners to develop the skills of relationship building, effective communication, and emotional resilience. I love all things brain-science, and bring a neuropsychological lens to everything I do, applying theories of self-regulation and emotional systems. I live in Peterborough with my family. I love old houses, photography, and crochet. Issues that are important to me include neurodiversity, 2SLGBTQI+ rights, and committing myself daily to anti-oppressive practice.

I offer both in-person and distance sessions. I see in-person clients at the Realign Wellness Centre in downtown Peterborough, while clients from across Ontario can attend sessions virtually or by phone.

It depends. A common pattern is that a new client might come weekly to begin, then move to bi-weekly or monthly. Some people prefer to just start at biweekly. It really comes down to the specific needs of the client.
-
This depends too! Some folks come with a very specific goal in mind and can achieve it in a shorter amount of time. Others prefer to develop long-term relationships with a therapist. It is also common for someone to attend therapy for a period of time to work on something specific and then return at a later time when another challenge or issue arises.
